      DEI & Public Speaking

Xoài David and her friend Annaclara Fontoura Fernandes Reynolds founded Organisation to Decolonise International Schools (ODIS) in June 2020. The project began when they created a petition to add Anti-Racism to the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum, and expanded to become a platform to raise awareness on issues of DEIJB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Justice, and Belonging) in the international school community and highlight the work of student-alumni-teacher initiatives.

Since then both Xoài and Clara have presented for audiences at University of California, University of Manchester, and attended the inaugural Anti-Discrimination Taskforce workshop by the IBO held at Ecolint, Geneva International School in October 2022. Xoài has also been a panelist for AIELOC, Outstanding Schools Asia, and Youth Forum Switzerland, and written or co-written articles for ODIS.

Having a degree in Graphic & Book Design, Xoài has done many of the visuals for ODIS. She worked with Angeline Aow and Sadie Hollins to illustrate the cover of their book with Routledge Publishing, Becoming a Totally Inclusive School: A Guide for Teachers and School Leaderswhich is available on print as of November 2022.

If you wish to learn more about ODIS or contact us for workshops and panels, you may visit our website and find us on LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook
